North America’s authentic Indian buffet opens in the Lower Mainland

Tandoori Flame is a unique dining experience with unmatched ethnic taste, live food stations and street food suitable for corporate events and family functions

VANCOUVER, MAY 30, 2018 – Recognized as North America’s largest Indian buffet restaurant, Tandoori Flame is set to open its doors on Friday, June 1, 2018 in Delta. Located on the border of Surrey-Delta, Tandoori Flame is the city’s newest dining spot offering local foodies and residents the best of Indian food with close to 150+ food items and 12 food stations.

Tandoori Flame is a family-run restaurant group owned by the Gulati family – Gajendra, Prabhjot, Shraey and Aman Gulati. The family has successfully established two restaurants in the Greater Toronto area in Mississauga and Brampton.

Shraey Gulati said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our third restaurant location in Surrey-Delta, home to one of the most vibrant South Asian diasporas outside of India. At Tandoori Flame, we offer our guests the flavours of India at a reasonable price point. From family gatherings to happy hours, Tandoori Flame’s diverse menu caters to everyone.”

With 11,000 square feet and a 450 seating capacity, the restaurant has a traditional yet contemporary design with 200 linear feet of glass walls. The grand buffet is priced at $15.99 – $25.99 per person and offers a wide variety of food options including delicious Indian classics – Jalebis, Punjabi Goat Masala, Tandoori Kebabs and Curries from different parts of India. The interactive food stations are a unique concept where guests can watch their favourite food being made on the spot. The menu includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian options aimed to satisfy everyone’s appetites. The restaurant also features a Woodstone oven serving Stone baked pizza’s in the buffet and for take out.

The new location has a multi-room layout featuring up to eight private rooms that are available to book for private events. It also has an enclosed patio and a street-food option convenient for guests on the move. “Our guest experience is the most important aspect of our restaurant. We’ve designed our restaurants with the intention of providing guests quality food choices, quick service and exceptional drink selections,” said Gulati. The Tandoori Flame cocktails menu is designed by a leading mixologist based in Toronto and includes Mumbai Mango Mojitos and Angoori Sangria in addition to famous lassi shakes.

Tandoori Flame is located at 11970 88 Ave, Delta, BC V4C 3C8. The restaurant will officially open on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 12PM PST, and then will open daily from 11:30 AM – 10:30 PM PST weekdays and until 11:00 PM on Friday & Saturday.
