Hrithik Roshan’s Injuries and Transformation

“I’m all damaged goods here. Just put me back piece by piece. I’ve just completed my transformation and I look at myself and I am amazed that something like this is possible. It was a 12-week transformation, but we completed it in 10 weeks.”

Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan underwent a successful brain surgery last month to remove a blood clot that developed from head injuries while filming the Bollywood remake of the Tom Cruise film Knight and Day. After shooting stunts for Bang Bang in Phuket, Thailand, Roshan suffered a chronic subdural haematoma which is often caused by a head injury that results in bleeding in the membrane surrounding the brain.

Rakesh Roshan, Hrithik’s father, was quoted as saying the surgery was a complete success and his 39-year-old actor son will need several weeks to recover.

Shortly before his surgery, the actor posted on his Facebook page: “We all know that we create a life of joy using the power of our mind. I’ve had the privilege of creating wonders with this amazing gift given to us called the brain. Occasionally, one must look within and realize its value. It gives us the power to see, hear, touch, smell and taste, it allows us to conquer fear and create courage to do things we never imagined. Maybe it’s time for me to feel the power literally. I am going to go through brain surgery on Sunday and want you to know that I am going in with absolute power to recover fast. My thanks to all of you for using the power of your mind to contribute to my life. Love you all.”

For everyone that knows the actor, this injury is just a setback and won’t cause the buff Bollywood babe to slow down. Earlier this year, Hrithik released a health and fitness book that he would not only pass on to his kids, but also to the common man. Roshan, who rocked a hot bod in the film Krrish 3, worked hard on his distinct physique for the film.

In addition to seeking out the help of trainer Kris Gethin, Hrithik also quit smoking his regular 3 packs a day. After 10 weeks training with Kris Gethin Hrithik went from a 36 1/2-inch waist to 30 inches. He lost 10 kilos, or about 22 pounds.

Hrithik performed 20 minutes of cardio after breakfast and again after working out in the evening. He chose from among swimming, beach walking, running, Crossfit and various cardiovascular machines.
