THE unique, experiential exhibit which launched mid-April has already attracted several thousand visitors. The exhibition kicks starts its last four weeks with a special offer on Victoria Day long weekend. For three days – starting Friday, May 17 and ending Monday, May 20 – there is a special 15% discount for anyone booking online at www.eventbrite.comusing the promo code ‘VICTORIADAY’.
Leveraging the possibilities of the state-of-the-art projection technology, the exhibit covers nearly 30,000 sq. ft. and seeks to recreate a multi-sensory feeling of being at the Sri Harimandar Sahib complex. Using interactive controls, videos, images, sound, and texture, from the pre-recorded kirtan timelapse that condenses 24 hours of actual footage into 30 minutes to delightful scents — everything in the space is geared towards complete recreation of the experience.
Besides the high-tech projection of the Darbar Sahib (The Golden Temple, Sri Harimandar Sahib, and Darbar Sahib are used interchangeably), the multimedia exhibition dives into Sikh history, philosophy, and lifestyle using smart walls and an audio guide. These educational materials are designed to prepare visitors for a richer experience in both English and Panjabi.
