H&M, one of the most popular clothing retailers, known for their stylish clothes at affordable prices, made headlines for all the right reasons when they launched a trailblazing campaign late last year called “Close the Loop”. This campaign takes diversity to new levels, as their ad’s feature models of different body types and races.
Amongst those was Muslim model Mariah Idrissi, who was captured wearing her hijab while showcasing her trendy and chic style.
Also apart of this campaign are 11 Sikh men, presented in a wide array of colorful turbans looking dapper in their outfits, accompanied by stylish pocket squares and ties. This noteworthy ad has now been seen shining in New York City, on a billboard above an H&M store in the city.
Twitter user Khaled Bey tweeted out this picture, which has gotten about 1600 retweets and over 2300 likes. Many twitter users have expressed their excitement and gratitude for H&M’s efforts in becoming more culturally diverse.
