ON September 6 at approximately 12:32 a.m., the Surrey RCMP responded to an altercation in the 1600-block of 160th Street.
Police located an adult victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite all attempts to revive the individual, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
The parties involved are known to one another and there is no public safety risk known at this time.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP Major Crime Section.
Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase.
Traffic will be affected for an unknown amount of time with 160th Street shut down for both northbound and southbound traffic between 16th Avenue and Alder Place.
